Carrier Engine

Fundamental Timing Source

Overview

The carrier engine forms the lowest timing layer of REVA.

It generates the fundamental pulse frequency from which all waveform structures are constructed.

Responsibilities

The carrier engine provides:

  • frequency generation,
  • pulse timing,
  • complementary outputs,
  • deterministic operation.

Philosophy

All packet structures ultimately derive from the carrier engine.
