Overview¶
REVA generates waveforms using multiple timing layers.
Each layer is constructed from the layer below it.

Carrier Cycle¶
The carrier cycle is the smallest timing unit.
Example:
90 kHz
11.11 µs
Timer1 generates carrier cycles.
Burst¶
A burst is a group of consecutive carrier cycles.
Example:
20 pulses
Segment¶
A segment consists of:
Burst
+
Gap
Example:
20 pulses
100 µs gap
Packet¶
A packet contains multiple segments.
Example:
Segment 1
Segment 2
Segment 3
Segment 4
Packet Family¶
A packet family defines the geometry of a packet.
Examples:
- Fibonacci Family
- Harmonic Family
- Prime Family
Continuous Stream¶
Repeated packet execution produces the continuous output stream.
This is the waveform observed at D9 and D10.
