Pulse Scale

Scaling of Packet Burst Lengths

Overview

Pulse scaling modifies the lengths of packet segments.

It acts upon the selected packet family.

Purpose

Pulse scale allows the operator to adjust waveform density without changing the mathematical relationships inside the packet library.

Effect

Increasing pulse scale produces:

  • longer bursts,
  • greater packet density.

Reducing pulse scale produces:

  • shorter bursts,
  • lower packet density.

Runtime Parameter

Pulse scale is adjustable during operation.
